Bishop Alemany CB @ephe5ian5 Prysock Could Play Anywhere

Ephesians Prysock is a four-star defensive back in the Class of 2022 who holds nearly two dozen offers from FBS programs around the country. He could play anywhere.

What makes him such an intriguing prospect is that Prysock could play anywhere in the defensive backfield. He is listed as a corner and certainly has the skills to play the position, but there’s the possibility Prysock could, at some point, become a safety.

At 6-foot-3 and 180 pounds, Prysock is a fluid athlete with very good speed. His length makes him an intriguing corner prospect because of his abilities in man coverage. That size also leaves the door open to playing safety.

There is also the possibility of playing wide receiver. Here he is showing his receiving skills with a touchdown against Serra.

Not only could Prysock play multiple positions, he could play at any number of schools across the country. Prysock has trimmed his list of schools to ten: Arizona State, Colorado, LSU, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, UCLA, and USC.

Prysock cut his list of potential schools to ten.

Tennessee and Cal offered after Prysock announced his top ten, but he is considering both schools. His head coach Casey Clausen is a Tennessee alum and Cal is a strong academic fit.

Breaking It Down

Due to COVID-19, Prysock wasn’t able to take the visits he would have liked. His early summer has been chock full of visits to several schools on his list. Most recently, he was in Columbus visiting Ohio State.

Prysock recently visited Ohio State and has the Buckeyes on his top ten list.

Prysock is also high on USC. He thinks he would be a good fit for the Trojans because he could play multiple positions, especially on defense.

He also visited UCLA just last weekend and came away very impressed. He enjoyed the campus and the football facilities. He really liked spending time with DB coach Brian Norwood and head coach Chip Kelly.

Kelly, of course, spent time at Oregon before moving on to the NFL. Kelly’s experience in the league is something that intrigues Prysock for that is where he would ultimately like to end up. With his size, speed, and skills; Prysock has the package to play in the league.

Scouting Report

Prysock projects as a defensive back at the next level, but he could play wide receiver. He’s got great size, speed, and a knack for making big catches. Still, he’s probably going to play corner or safety when he moves to the college level.

His biggest asset is his size-speed combination. There aren’t many 6-3 corners out there and the number of 6-3 corners that can run like Prysock is extremely small. He has the ability to take away a team’s top receiver all by himself. You can see that in his highlight video from last season.

Prysock has a goal of announcing a verbal commitment sometime in July or August. He has mentioned that he may not make a decision by then and that’s okay. With his versatility, Prysock should be just fine. Remember, he can play anywhere.
